PCCR ALUMNI ASSOCIATION 52nd ALUMNI HOMECOMING THE PCCR COMMUNITY UNITED FOR THE GLOBAL ENVIRONMENT Print

Last February 18, 2010 was a grand day for the graduates of PCCR as they celebrate their 52nd Homecoming. The reunion was held at the JFAB Sports Center.

Making the homecoming more special was the presence of the Guest of Honor and Speaker, Honorable Jose L. Atienza, the Secretary of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).

Pres. Gregory Alan F. Bautista, in his welcome remarks, enjoined the gathered alumni, faculty, employees and students to “honor the founders and remember those that has come before us.”

He emphasized that the Foundation Celebration and Alumni Homecoming were not only for merriment but also for commemoration. He shared the visionary dream of the college founder, Justice Felix Angelo Bautista and the continuing legacy of his son, Dr. Eduardo J. Bautista, the president’s father.

He made special mention of Gen. Bulaong, the Alumni President, who through his efforts, personality and charm, was able to invite the President of the Philippines, Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, a first in PCCR history.

Pres. Alan also acknowledged the guest speaker’s appreciation of the late Dr. Eduardo Bautista by declaring September 13 as the Eduardo J. Bautista Day in Manila when he was then the city’s mayor.

In closing, Pres. Alan quoted his father, a way to challenge the PCCR community – “ask not what your school can do for you… ask what you can do for your alma mater.”

Outstanding alumni were also given awards during the Alumni Homecoming.
