53rd Commencement Exercises of the Philippine College of Criminology and 108th Commencement Exercises of the Manila Law College Celebrated last May 8, 2010
Last May 8, 2010, the Graduation Activities of Batch 2010 culminated with the 53rd Commencement Exercises of the Philippine College of Criminology and 108th Commencement Exercises of the Manila Law College at the Plenary Hall of the PICC in Pasay City.
There were 118 candidates for graduation as of October 2009, 440 candidates as of March 2010, and 137 as of May 2010 for the degree of BS in Criminology. There were 24 candidates for Master of Science in Criminal Justice and 16 for the Doctor of Philosophy in Criminology. The candidates for graduation for Manila Law College numbered 50.
The theme for this year was “Sustaining the Challenges in Education Through International Linkages.”
The guest of honor and commencement speaker was Dr. Frank Quiambao Jr., the Special Advisor to the Secretary of the California Emergency Management Agency (Cal EMA).
Representative Teodoro “Teddy” Lim was conferred Doctor of Humanities – Honoris Causa.
The Valedictory Addresses were given by John Romer L. Venturillo in behalf of the BS Criminology, Edsel G. Cajipe for the Bachelor of Laws and Dr. Margarita R. Cojuangco in behalf of the Graduate Studies graduates.
